Training camp and the preseason are over for the Jets. But before they fully turn their attention toward their Week 1 opponent, the Steelers and former quarterback Aaron Rodgers, there’s a bit more work to be done for new coach Aaron Glenn and GM Darren Mougey: trimming the roster from 90 down to 53 men.

The Jets got an early start ahead of Tuesday’s NFL deadline to trim the roster, making 13 cuts over the weekend and sending defensive tackle Derek Nnadi back to Kansas City in a trade that is still pending.

By our count, that leaves the Jets roster at 74 players heading into Monday, meaning the Jets must trim 21 players before Tuesday’s 4 p.m. league deadline.
