WASHINGTON — The U.S. Attorney for D.C. said more than 100 guns have been seized since the federal surge in the city. While many in the district said they appreciate the guns being taken off the streets, there are some who say this isn't a long-term solution to crime reduction.

The U.S. Attorney for D.C., Jeanine Pirro, said 111 illegal guns have been seized as part of the federal takeover of D.C. Police

"That means 111 guns can't be used in assaulting and killing people,” Pirro said in a video posted to social media.

ATF Washington, and other federal agencies, have shared photos and videos of the guns they've confiscated and the arrests they've made. Arrests some gun rights activists say go too far.
