ALLEN PARK -- The Detroit Lions are making some cuts ahead of the roster deadline to set their 53-man roster.

MLive will track all the moves on Monday in this post, with timestamps and analysis on each move as they come in. One of the first reported cuts was a big one, with the Lions cutting ties with former third-round quarterback Hendon Hooker.
