MADISON, Wis. (WMTV) - Madison Metro Transit has a new leader. Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway announced on Monday Jamie Acton is the next general manager for Metro Transit.

According to a release, Acton has more than 15 years of experience in public transit leadership and planning.

Previously, she served as director of planning and program development for the Federal Transit Administration’s Region 10, which included managing grants across Alaska, Idaho, Oregon and Washington.

Mayor Rhodes-Conway said she is looking forward to having Acton on board.
