ALBANY, Ga. — The suspect in last year's deadly shooting at Albany State University's homecoming weekend has been indicted, the Georgia attorney general announced Monday.
A Newnan 19-year-old, De’Marion Tashawn Daniels, was killed in the shooting and five others were injured.
Georgia AG Chris Carr now alleges Marshall committed the shooting (or two shootings, roughly 600 yards from one another) in a gang-related act.
A release said Marshall is accused of belonging to the Blockos (aka 4 Blickie Gang) hybrid criminal street gang based in the Albany area. According to Carr, the shooting stemmed from an "ongoing rivalry between the Blockos and the Purps, another hybrid criminal street gang that was founded at Dougherty County High School."
Marshall's charges include one count of malice m
