Orange County Sheriff's Office investigating after a 64-year-old woman was shot in Pine Forest neighborhood

PINE FOREST, Texas — The Orange County Sheriff's Office is investigating a shooting at a home in a Pine Forest neighborhood.

According to the Orange County Sheriff's Office, they received a 911 call 400 block of Kennedy Monday afternoon. On the other end of the line was a woman saying she had been shot.

Deputies arrived to find a 64-year-old woman suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.

The woman was able to give deputies a brief description of the suspect according to the Orange County Sheriff's Office.

The woman then quickly rushed to the hospital by ambulance.

Detectives are still on scene gathering evidence the Orange County Sheriff's Office.
