TEXARKANA, Texas (KSLA) - United States Senator John Cornyn of Texas was in Texarkana Monday afternoon (Aug. 25) touring Texarkana Door & Window manufacturing company.

Assembling doors was not the main purpose of his visit; the senator was in town promoting President Donald Trump’s “Big and Beautiful Bill.”

“The truth is it is such a big bill that there are a lot of different moving pieces,” Sen. Cornyn said.

In a roundtable discussion, the senator met with several local business owners to get their feelings on the bill. These business leaders indicated the tax reforms will help them to grow and expand their businesses.
