The Broncos on Monday waived at least four more players as they work to get down Tuesday to the NFL's 53-man limit for the regular season.
Let go were undrafted rookie guard Xavier Truss and defensive tackle Michael Dwumfour, who appeared on the official NFL transaction report. Also waived were wide receiver Jerjuan Newton and outside linebacker Garrett Nelson.
The Broncos have expressed interest in potentially having Truss on the practice squad but it depends on how other things shake out. Truss, who played at Georgia, received a signing bonus of $20,000 and had $150,000 of his 2025 contact guaranteed. However, if he joins Denver's practice squad or is on any other team's 53-man roster or practice squad in 2025, that amount or any lesser amount earned would be offset.
