In the USDA Crop Progress Report released August 25, 2025, Ohio’s crop is progressing along very much in line with the 5-year-average. Corn is 87 percent in the dough stage, with 35 percent dented and 2 percent mature. Likewise, soybeans are finding themselves at 92 percent setting pods, though none yet noted as dropping leaves.

Ohio’s corn is rated 76 percent good to excellent and soybeans at 62% good to excellent.
