BRANFORD, Conn. (WFSB) - A local animal shelter is seeking the public’s help in finding the owners of an abandoned dog.

The dog was found reportedly found abandoned in the Stop & Shop in Branford at around 11 a.m. but apparently there is nothing to confirm that on the cameras.

The Dan Cosgrove Animal Shelter said they have reason to believe the owners are from the areas of either Waterbury, Milford or Bridgeport.

No further details were released.
