(WFSB) - Bus drivers that are part of Teamsters Local 671 have agreed to strike on October 1st if no contract is reached with DATTCO.

In a statement sent to Channel 3, the union said that the strike would involve drivers from Bloomfield, East Hartford, Middletown, and Cromwell.

They say that negotiations have gone on for months with DATTCO and the proposals have failed to reflect the essential services that the drivers provide.

“DATTCO School Bus Teamsters work hard to get our students to and from school safely every day.
