KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - Chiefs’ cornerback Trent McDuffie is already known as one of the best defensive backs in all of football, but he was an MVP for a completely different reason on Monday.
McDuffie surprised 150 kids at Gordon Parks Elementary with backpacks, school supplies, and an appearance from KC Wolf.
“I feel like doing something like this, right before the season starts, you hear the excitement from the kids,” McDuffie said. “They were all screaming around here.”
McDuffie spent part of Monday afternoon with the school kids. He answered their questions about life in the NFL but also placed a big emphasis on education.
