NEW HAVEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- The Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) is considering increasing fares for multiple services in 2026, and Connecticut residents who use Metro North have the opportunity to submit comments before a final decision is made.
According to MTA, the following changes have been proposed for Metro North, which provides rail service from New York City to New Haven, Waterbury, Danbury and New Canaan: • Monthly and weekly tickets would increase up to 4.5% across both railroads.
