SABINE COUNTY, Texas — An East Texas family is suing their neighbors after their dogs attacked their 10-year-old son , causing the boy to need five surgeries and over 500 stitches.

The boy was taken to a Houston hospital after being attacked by three dogs in Sabine County on Aug. 13, the sheriff's office said. The SCSO reported evidence suggests that the dogs had been aggressive in the past and had attacked the boy while he was out in his backyard.

The law firm, Hightower, Franklin, & James, PLLC, filed a lawsuit on behalf of the Bragg family in Sabine County. The document states their son was playing in the backyard of the Braggs’ home when three of their neighbors’ dogs came into the Braggs' yard and attacked him without being provoked
