BRONSON, Fla. (WCJB) - While people wonder when the next big hurricane will hit North Central Florida, there are people in the area who are not done rebuilding after Idalia.
Levy County commissioners said they still have money available to help the recovery.
Commissioners also said they have about $150,000 left to assist residents whose homes were damaged by Idalia in 2023.
The money comes from the Hurricane Housing Recovery Program.
To qualify, residents must meet the following requirements: they must own the damaged home, the home must have been damaged by Hurricane Idalia, they have to occupy the home, they must have a mortgage in good standing as well as be current on property taxes and must have a household income at or below 120% of Levy County’s Area Median Income.
