Few schools were as aggressive when scheduling out non-conference football games as Alabama.

These home-and-home series announcements began in 2018 for dates with Notre Dame in 2028 and 2029. The first of these matchups came in 2022 and 2023 when Texas was still a Big 12 member.

To date, Alabama has Power 4 non-conference games on the ledger through the 2035 season. That plan is now subject to change after the SEC on Thursday announced a plan to add an extra conference game to every schedule beginning in 2026.

Alabama AD Greg Byrne told AL.com in a Monday interview the school “is going to have to look at” those deals considering the ninth SEC game being added to the calendar.
