HAZARD, Ky. (WYMT) - Kentucky High School football teams hit the gridiron for the first time last Friday and Saturday.

Belfry (1-0) : In Matt Varney’s first year as head coach the Belfry Pirates began their season with a 55-28 win against East Carter on the road.
Bell Co. (1-0): The Bobcats beat Campbellsville 30-24 on the road. Bell Co.’s defense finished with seven tackles for losses, two fumble recoveries and two sacks.
Corbin (1-0): The Redhounds competed in the Cumberland Falls Pigskin Classic at home against Linton-Stockton out of Indiana and won, 42-20.
