A Marshfield man was indicted by a Superior Court grand jury for the death of his elderly roommate over a Thanksgiving meal, prosecutors said.
Richard P. Lombardi, 66, was charged with one count of involuntary manslaughter on Friday, Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz’s office said in a statement.
Shortly after his arrest, Lombardi pleaded not guilty to related charges in Plymouth District Court, the statement said.
The indictment moves the case now to the Superior Court for arraigment there. A date was not listed in online court records.
On Nov. 27, 2024, Marshfield police responded to 853 Main St. for a report of an unconscious male on the kitchen floor.
