LOUISVILLE, Ky. — The former lead detective in the Crystal Rogers case has been ordered to appear at the sentencing of Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson next month.

Jon Snow worked with the Nelson County Sheriff’s Office as they were investigating the disappearance of the Bardstown mother in 2015.

Prosecutor Shane Young subpoenaed Snow to testify on Sept. 17.

Snow previously testified in the trials of Steve Lawson, Brooks Houck and Joseph Lawson.

In July, a jury found Houck, Rogers's ex-boyfriend, guilty of murder (principle or accomplice) and tampering with physical evidence. Lawson was convicted of conspiracy to commit murder and tampering with physical evidence.

Both men were recommended to serve the maximum prison sentence: life in prison for Houck and 25 years in prison for Lawson.
