SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KCAU) — A Sioux City woman has been sentenced for shooting and killing a man.

Court documents indicate that Katrina Barnes, 35, will serve 10 years in prison for voluntary manslaughter, along with 10 years for possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Both sentences will be served consecutively, totaling 20 years in prison.

This comes after Barnes entered a plea agreement in May.

In 2022, police responded to a shooting call in the 500 block of 9th Street. Officials said Dolorean Wade, 32, suffered a gunshot wound and later died at a local hospital. Authorities said Wade argued with Barnes all day before the shooting occurred.
