Former Massachusetts State Police Trooper Michael Proctor is trying to get his job back after being let go for misconduct in the Karen Read investigation.

The Massachusetts Civil Service Commission has scheduled a hearing beginning Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. at its office in Boston. It will continue for a second day Wednesday.

Legal and police expert Todd McGhee says Proctor will have to give examples of how he was punished more harshly than other troopers for similar conduct violations.
