James Walter was sentenced to prison Aug. 14 in El Paso County District Court after being convicted of four different charges including sexual assault on a child, according to a news release Monday from the Manitou Springs Police Department.

Walter was sentenced to 30 years to life in the Colorado Department of Corrections and an additional 20 years to life of parole, the release stated.

In March, Walter, of Manitou Springs, was found guilty of three counts of sexual assault on a child while in a position of trust, sexual assault with submission by force, sexual assault on a child and aggravated incest.
