OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - A fire forced an evacuation at a metro apartment complex over the weekend. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, but hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage was left behind, and a couple of dozen residents will be displaced.
Monday morning daylight drew quite a dreary picture of the damage done to the apartment complex near NW 28th Street and May Avenue.
"It looks like there will probably be a total loss,” Oklahoma City Fire Department Battalion Chief Randy Cornelius said on scene early Monday morning.
Cornelius said it was Sunday night when they got several calls that the complex was on fire.
"Firefighters arrived on scene, we had heavy flames coming through the roof of the structure,” he said.
