The Ohio Republican Party is throwing what can only be described as a political tantrum after Senator Bernie Moreno faced some jeers during his appearance at the City Club of Cleveland, says the Today in Ohio podcast crew.

Rather than handling disagreement like seasoned politicians, the party’s leadership has urged its candidates to boycott future City Club of Cleveland events entirely.

“The party chair doesn’t want his people getting booed or facing any tough questions or critical voters,” explained Laura Johnston. “And he basically wants to boycott the City Club, put out a tweet on X saying they urge candidates to avoid future events and that it’s not what it purports to be until they foster civil adult conversation.”
