CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - ESPN reported on Monday night that the Browns have traded quarterback Kenny Pickett to Las Vegas in exchange for a 5th round draft pick.
The Browns had been expected to carry all four of their quarterbacks, Joe Flacco, Pickett, Dillon Gabriel and Shedeur Sanders on their opening 53-man roster.
The Browns traded Dorian Thompson-Robinson and a 5th round pick to Philadelphia in March to get Pickett to add a veteran option to their quarterback room. The drafting of two rookies, and their play through camp and the preseason, coupled with Pickett’s hamstring injury, made him expendable.
