The former mayor of Millvale shared a post on social media Monday, saying that the community's Hardee's location has closed after over five decades.

Former Millvale Mayor Jim Burn said in a post that the establishment located 1201 North Avenue closed "suddenly," and the change marks the end of an era for the community. Advertisement

"We launched our Millvale Days parades, when we had them, from the Hardee's parking lot. Car cruises have continued to be a tradition, with one being held there as recently as last week," Burn said. "Many thousands of customers and employees have been through those doors."
