Jefferson Parish leaders have announced that several krewes were removed from participating in upcoming carnival seasons due to financial, organizational or permitting issues.

Their organizer cited extremely high costs and fines associated with not wearing masks as contributing factors to their decision not to roll in Jefferson Parish anymore.

Jefferson Parish officials stated that the Krewe of Symphony faced financial issues that led to their permit being revoked, but they are expected to return in 2027.
