The Day the Water Came
“It was water,” said Snow. “I was taking a nap on the couch and then I set my feet down on the floor and went splashed.”
Upstairs it was sweltering. In the house was Bruce, his mother, who was still recovering from surgery, his uncle, their little dog and one garbage bag. Inside it, the only thing he thought to save: a stuffed hippo.
