COLUMBIA, S.C. — South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley has announced the team’s theme for the 2025-26 season: Beyond Measure .

The theme highlights values that extend beyond wins and statistics, underscoring the impact of players, fans, and the program’s legacy.

“A player’s value to a team is not measured just by her stat line but also by a myriad of other ways she elevates her team,” a release said. The theme also recognizes the support of fans — known as FAMS — who create a united community around Gamecock basketball.

Since 2012, Staley has introduced a new theme each year, with past mottos including Sacrifice, Be the Change, Net Worth, DNA – Dreams, Nets, Assets, and last year’s Uncommon .
