SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The State Attorney General has secured funding for Massachusetts schools currently being withheld by the trump administration.
Last month Attorney General Andrea Joy Campbell filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration’s “unconstitutional, unlawful, and arbitrary” decision to freeze $6.8 billion in funding just weeks before the school year was set to begin.
Here in the Baystate, that freeze impacted more than $107 million in critical educational funding.
Monday, the Trump administration promised to make that funding available by October 1.
