LOS ANGELES -- Enrique Hernandez was activated off the injured list Monday, putting the Los Angeles Dodgers a step closer to getting back all of their key players who have been sidelined.
The 34-year-old infielder/outfielder had been out since July 6 with left elbow inflammation. He was available off the bench for the series opener against the Cincinnati Reds , and will start Tuesday and Wednesday, although manager Dave Roberts wasn't sure where he'd play.
Hernandez made five rehab appearances with Triple-A Oklahoma City, batting .357 with two doubles and three RBIs. He has played in 72 games this season, hitting .195 with eight homers and 22 RBIs.
