FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- San Joaquin Memorial grad and current guard for the Phoenix Suns, Jalen Green, stopped by the Central Valley on Monday.
Green was recently traded from the Houston Rockets to the Suns, making his trips home just a 45-minute plane ride.
The Merced-native handed out shoes and signed basketballs to kids at the Boys and Girls Club of West Fresno on Monday afternoon.
He spoke exclusively to Action News, telling us he loves coming back to a community that supported his dreams and shares a message for kids hoping to make it big.
"Whatever your mind is set on and whatever you're trying to accomplish, whether it's sports or a doctor, whatever it is, lock in, study, be in the gym," Green said. "Whatever you're trying to accomplish at the end of the day, just lock into it
