BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – An overdose awareness walk is set to take place in Bowling Green on Sunday.

The National Alliance on Mental Illness, or NAMI, chapter in Bowling Green is hosting “Stand Against Stigma” – an overdose awareness walk on August 31st at the SOKY Fairgrounds.

Neighbors, families, friends and the community can come together to remember those lost to overdose, support healing and raise awareness about prevention.

For one organizer, she has a bit of a personal connection, and believes it’s important for the community to come out.
