Netflix is getting out of business with the Buckleys, cancelling The Waterfront after one season, Deadline reports.

Created by Kevin Williamson ( Dawson’s Creek , The Vampire Diaries ), the drama series followed the exploits of a prominent North Carolina family, whose desperation to keep their fishing empire afloat leads them into increasingly dangerous waters. All eight episodes dropped on June 19.

Holt McCallany ( Mindhunter ) starred as family patriarch Harlan Buckley, along with Melissa Benoist ( Supergirl ) as daughter Bree, Jake Weary ( Animal Kingdom ) as son Cane and Maria Bello ( NCIS ) as wife Belle. The cast also included Rafael L. Silva ( 9-1-1: Lone Star ) as Harlan’s estranged son Shawn, Humberly González ( Ginny & Georgia ) as Cane’s ex-girlfrien
