A police officer was injured and two others are unaccounted for following a shooting incident at a rural property in Porepunkah, Victoria. The incident occurred while officers were serving a warrant at a home in the alpine region, approximately 300 kilometers northeast of Melbourne.

Reports indicate that one officer sustained a gunshot wound to the thigh. The condition of the injured officer has not been disclosed. Meanwhile, two additional officers are believed to be missing in connection with the incident.

Victoria Police confirmed the ongoing situation in a statement, saying, "Police are currently at a property in Porepunkah. This is still an active incident and we will provide more information when it's operationally safe to do so. We ask people to avoid the area."
