Goucher College students are moving out of Welsh Hall after having been in the dorm for just 10 days.

The college told students they had to move out of the dorm by Tuesday, citing “moisture intrusion.” The email to students said the dorm will be closed for the entirety of the fall 2025 semester.

Many Welsh Hall boarders were juniors who played on the soccer team.

“It feels like we’re not on a college campus,” said Brianna Wilson, a student. “It feels like we’re in an actual apartment, (like we’ve just been given) an eviction notice. ‘You have this many days to get out or you’re gone. You’re in trouble.'”
