CLEVELAND, Ohio — A recent change to Ohio law at issue over the Cleveland Browns’ planned move to Brook Park “means nothing,” and the team should still have to offer the team up for sale before moving, Cleveland attorneys argued in court filings.

Justin Herdman, an attorney hired by the city, wrote that the Browns must comply with the older version of the so-called Modell Law, not the new law that allows teams to move within the state without restriction.
