LEXINGTON, Ky. (WKYT) - Henry Clay High School is under construction and for students, this means limited on-campus parking.
The school had a lottery for the 82 parking spots available to students. This leaves the remaining students fighting for a nearby parking spot.
“Most seniors drive, most everybody drives, so I just don’t think it’s very fair, but that’s all the parking they have,” Senior Aidan Houston said.
Aidan Houston is a senior this year and said that while he understands the limited parking, he does worry about leaving his car off campus all day long.
“I know that people are getting parking tickets up in these neighborhoods and I feel like it’s not really fair that people get parking tickets when they’re trying to go to school,” Houston said.
