It’s one and done for The Waterfront , with The Hollywood Reporter confirming that Netflix has quickly canceled the crime drama after one season.

The show, created by Scream and Dawson’s Creek mastermind Kevin Williamson , only debuted all eight of its episodes on Netflix on June 19, but seemingly failed to find the audience to justify a renewal.

The Waterfront told the story of a North Carolina family that turns to crime to save their fishery. The show starred Holt McCallany, Maria Bello, Melissa Benoist, Jake Weary, Rafael L. Silva, Humberly Gonzalez, Danielle Campbell, Brady Hepner and Topher Grace.
