Sawyer Hemsley , the co-founder of Crumbl, is addressing the speculation surrounding his sexuality.

The 33-year-old businessman released a statement on Instagram on Monday (August 25) to confirm that he is gay.

While some have labeled Sawyer as the CEO of the company, he actually is the Chief Brand Officer.

Sawyer , who grew up as a Mormon in Utah, has been the subject of backlash from the LGBT community over the past week due to lots of speculation surrounding his sexuality and beliefs. He has been accused of hiding his sexuality and allegedly supporting politicians who don’t support the community, but there’s no clear evidence of that.

In his statement, Sawyer addressed the “values and beliefs” that he grew up with and “still deeply love and respect.”
