DODGE COUNTY, Wis. (WKOW) — The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office is extending the application deadline for its Citizen Academy to September 9, 2025. This program offers community members a chance to learn about the sheriff's office operations and engage with its employees.

Lieutenant Ryan Brehmer is organizing the academy, which will cover topics such as the Dodge County Detention Jail, OWI enforcement, recreation patrol, crash investigations, firearms/active shooters, and communications. Classes are scheduled for Wednesdays from September 10 to December 10, 2025, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
