WICHITA, Kan.(KAKE) — Shoppers at Wichita’s Academy Sports were charged a special one-percent sales tax for years after the community improvement district that authorized it had ended, a state lawmaker said.

State Representative Nick Hoheisel, whose 97th District covers southwest Wichita, said he discovered the issue through a Facebook post last week.'
