WAGONER — The One Big Beautiful Bill is actually a good deal, especially for Oklahomans in lower income brackets, 2nd District Congressman Josh Brecheen told an audience of about 30 at the Wagoner Community Center Monday afternoon.

Most independent analyses disagree with Brecheen’s assessment, and an Aug. 14 Pew Research poll reported 61% of Americans disapprove of the One Big Beautiful Bill, but he spent almost an hour and used more than two dozen charts arguing Republicans’ case to the contrary.

“I think there’s a lot of hyperbole out there,” he told reporters afterward.
