A Silver Alert was activated for an at-risk 56-year-old man last seen in El Monte before sunrise Monday.

Camilo Lujan was last seen at approximately 4 a.m. Monday near Broadmead Street and Durfee Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which activated the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

Lujan was described as a 5-foot-11-inch-tall man weighing 234 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a blue shirt, pants and white shoes.

Anyone with information regarding Lujan’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.

The CHP established the Silver Alert program to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
