The official cause of death for American Idol music supervisor Robin Kaye and her husband, Thomas Deluca , has been issued.

Kaye and Deluca, both 70, died at their Encino, Calif., home of multiple gunshot wounds that they sustained on July 10 at approximately 4:45 p.m., according to their death certificates, obtained exclusively by PEOPLE.

Deluca died within seconds of being shot, while Kaye, a music composer, died minutes after sustaining her gunshot wounds,
