MASON, Ohio —
A Mason family is calling for safety improvements at what they believe is a dangerous intersection in their community. It comes after their teenage daughter was involved in a serious crash there earlier this month.
On Aug. 1, 18-year-old Madison Moine was driving to volleyball tryouts when she turned left from Heritage Club Drive onto busy Butler-Warren Road. She said her view was blocked by a large Duke Energy utility pole. Advertisement
"It just happened in an instant, and I didn't see it coming," Madison said.
Her car collided with another vehicle. Thankfully, no one was seriously hurt. But her family says that’s not enough reassurance.
"It's not a matter of if it's going to happen again, it's when," her father, Joff Moine, said.
