Nuneaton fire crews raced to a collision between pick-up truck and Golf collision on the A5. The engine from Newtown Road based station were called to the collision near Dodwells last night (August 25).
When firefighters arrived they found that the aftermath of the incident between a Golf car and a pick-up truck, which was carrying 1,000 litres of diesel. Fortunately, the impact of the collision did not leave any diesel spillage.
But there was extensive damage caused to the Golf. A male passenger in the car was left with head and shoulder injuries.
The driver of the Golf fled the scene of the collision, which happened at around 8.30pm. The driver of the pick-up truck was not injured.
Police were called to the scene and now investigations are ongoing into the collision.
