Our preseason watchlist for Vermont high school boys cross-country running has been published. Now it's time for you — the reader — to cast your vote for the Burlington Free Press' boys XC preseason runner of the year.

We took all the names on our statewide watchlist and added them to the poll below. Voting is open now and the ballot will close at 11:59 p.m. Monday, Sept. 1. This year's state championship races are slated for Thetford Academy on Saturday, Oct. 25.
