The San Sebastian Film Festival is to honour Jennifer Lawrence with a Donostia Award at its 73rd edition next month.

The Academy-Award winning US actress will receive the honorary accolade at a gala on September 26, followed by a screening of her latest film, Lynne Ramsay’s Die My Love.

Lawrence produced the film which had its world premiere at Cannes this year.

Lawrence won the best actress Oscar in 2012 for Silver Linings Playbook , and her credits include American Hustle, Don’t Look Up, Joy, and The Hunger Games trilogy.

In 2018, Lawrence co-founded production company Excellent Cadaver with producing partner Justine Ciarrocchi. As well as Die My Love , its films to date include Causeway, No Hard Feelings, and the documentaries Zurawski v. Texas and Bread & Roses.
