BAXTER — Affordable housing options with changes along the Highway 371 and Highway 210 corridors received support from Baxter City Council members.
When conversations turned to future planning, Council member Zach Tabatt said they’ve gotten to the point where the council doesn’t have a specific project sitting before them that’s been worked on for months. He said that opens time for looking at future planning in terms of housing. The issue came up in council comments during the Aug. 19 meeting.
“I'd also look into council's thoughts regarding another way to hopefully create more tax base and vibrancy in the community,” Tabatt said. “I would be interested in exploring a conversation with you all on your thoughts regarding 371, and 210 corridors, potentially out to the second layer there.”
